“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst”(John 6:35).
Bethlehem, “house of bread,” serves as a place of hope for God’s people throughout its history. As the birthplace of Christ, Bethlehem brought the bread of heaven to the world.
During Advent, let us remember the Gospel is an invitation to eternal life. “The bread of heaven, Jesus Himself, has come down for you, for me, and for the whole world. If we will believe in Him, if we will trust in Him, He will give us everlasting life!”
