Tuesday, May 31, fast-breaking news from Newnan, GA, the home of the Cates family.
Doris Wong, former missionary to China, sent this request for prayer for Princeton Cates:
Would like you to ask prayer for Princeton Cates, who fell and broke his hip. He has had surgery but recovery will be long...also having a lot of pain.
If you want more information, please contact Ruby Cates at home...770-253-3239
Thank you....Doris Wong
[Editor's comment: I did call and talked with Ruby Cates. She and Princeton talk very much alike. I don't know if it is a Georgia accent, or a Cate's manner of speech. Whatever it is, it is delightful and pleasant. I have known the Cates family for most of my life. Princeton has moved back home in Newnan, GA, following the death of his wife, Sybil. I have kept in touch with them for many years. When they resided at Hilton Head, SC, I would visit with them when I attended the Chief of Army Chaplains annual leadership training conference for senior Army chaplains and Chaplain Assistants. I am grateful for their friendship and love.
It is my prayer that God will speed up the healing process for Princeton.]
