Somewhere in my education and training as a minister of the Gospel I came to the place where I have asked my congregations at the end of a worship service the question, "Will You Receive the Benediction?" I can certainly pronounce them for I have memorized many benedictions. I ask God to guide me and impress me with which one to give. I am keenly aware that God anoints me when I give the benedictions. Unless people receive it, it is non-productive for the person who rejects it. Granted, it is the choice of the worshiper. I hope you will take me seriously and receive with gratitude and joy the benedictions I write in each edition of Hugh's News.
