Psalm 122
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the Name of the LORD.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
KJV
[Editor's comment: Who were the They in this Scripture? We know from David what they said, but the They is not revealed. When was the last time that anyone asked you, "Let us go into the house of the Lord?"
Are we living in an age when God's people are forsaking the assembly? The writer of the Book of Hebrews wrote: "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25, KJV).
Here is a fitting word for our day: "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" (Revelation 3:15-16, KJV). Who said these words?
America is on the wrong path. Revival must start in the hearts of the people of God in the church. May God enable us to call out for mercy, for His grace, for Revival. It starts with repentance.
The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23, KJV). The Apostle John wrote, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us" (1 John 1:9-10, KJV).
What will we do about it? Will we respond to God's Word and obey Him? God help us!]
