The Balance of Giving and Receiving, Planting seed and reaping a harvest the Biblical way
Acts 20:35 -- The Blessing of Giving
"And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
NKJV
Luke 6:38 The Rewards of Giving
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
KJV
Jesus taught His disciples the blessing of giving, as well as the rewards in receiving. Unfortunately, there are many who have not experienced the joy of giving and the rewards of giving and receiving. God will always give us back far more than we give. You can thrive in a depressed economy and bless others who are struggling financially and spiritually. Find a need and fill it. Lift up the spirit of those who feel alone, abandoned, and forgotten. Let us help somebody this day as we follow the Lord Jesus Christ in our faith walk with Him.
May the Holy Spirit, out Teacher, reveal to you the secrets involved in these two passages of Holy Scripture.
