Ephesians 1:17-23 The Apostle Paul's prayer for the Ephesian believers
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. 18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be Head over everything for the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way.

[Editor's Comment: The Apostle Paul's prayer here in this first chapter of the Book of Ephesians is magnificent, powerful, and full of great and precious promises. God wants you and me to be filled with the wisdom that only God can give along with revelation in order that we may know God better. Our hearts have eyes that can be enlightened so that we may know the hope God has called each one of us to have. God has a purpose for every life and a mission that only you can fulfill.
There are incredible riches awaiting for us to discover that have been available to us, and we have failed to receive and use for God's glory and honor and the good of people we serve. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is right now working in us to enable us to do great exploits for God. Jesus is alive. He died to save us from our sins and give us victory to live our lives in worship of God and service to mankind. Jesus is seated in a place of great authority and power, and He will always have that power to save and deliver His people who trust in Him.
As I compose this commentary on these verses of Scripture, I believe that God's power to heal is healing someone right now of cancer. You may be very sick, and unable to function as you have in the past. I speak healing to you this day and new strength and power along with glowing health that Jesus is giving you this moment. I stand with you in faith for your healing that is in Jesus Christ, our Healer. When you become aware of your healing, give Jesus all the praise, honor and glory.]
