"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"(Matthew 7:2).
Thought
Jesus is concerned that we not have a critical spirit toward others, especially about their motives as to why they did something. We can't assume to know another person's heart; only God can. When we are unfairly critical, overly harsh, or unduly judgmental, we need to remember that God will use that same standard on us.
I don't know about you, but I need grace. So do those I love. As chaplains we should try very hard to be as gracious toward others as we are trusting that God is going to be gracious with us.
In His wonderful service,
Bob & BJ Reifsnyder
[Editor's Comment: Bob and BJ Reifsnyder work with out International Evangelical Chaplains Association and they are vitally involved with the training of national ministers who desire to serve as chaplains in their country's military.
As I recall Bob is a retired lieutenant colonel in the US Army. He and BJ are very talented musicians and can make cow bells ring out harmonious music. I have enjoyed fellowship with them when I was a member of the NAE Chaplains Commission. They are faithful and loyal Christians and a joy to be with.]
