Psalm 23:6
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
KJV
Do you know this Psalm? It is probably the most quoted psalms that David wrote. More importantly is in the form of a question: Do you know the Shepherd?
I want goodness and mercy to follow me all the days of my life. The question for me is: Hugh, are you willing to extend goodness and mercy to others? Even the people who often cut across the grain. Lord, help me. I cannot in my own strength do that, but I must because God is showing me goodness and mercy every day of my life.
Do I delight to dwell in the house of the Lord? I think this statement means far more than going to church, but that is a part of it. Am I willing to dwell in the presence of the LORD in my special times of daily devotions. Am I willing to wait patiently to hear His voice among the cacophony of voices crying for my attention and action?
Now, let us read this Psalm in the King James version:

Psalms 23
23:1 A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
