This time last week dad was in the hospital, today he’s in the rehabilitation center. Next week he will be at home. Actually he will go home this Wednesday. We are so excited!
I gave a praise report at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, where I play the piano, this morning, and everyone was thrilled about his returning home on Wednesday. Of course mother said that everyone at Christian Life Worship Center, IPHC is happy too. Prayers from all over Georgia and around the world really work!
Mom and I ate lunch with dad at his cafeteria in The Oaks today. The food was pretty good, and it was only five dollars a plate for family members and friends. We had turkey and dressing which was fitting since we are in thanksgiving for dad’s recovery. Dad mentioned many things in conversation, but one thing that struck me was that he really misses going to church. He has missed three Sundays in a row and he looks forward to returning. Going to church is a part of his DNA. He really loves being with good Christian people and worshiping the Lord.
In just a few days he will be back home for home health care. That will be the next step in his healing adventure. I’m confident it will go well, like all of the other steps have.
God bless you,
Greg
