Wesley and Janice Russ in the early days of their marriage In an email on Saturday, April 23, 2916, Wesley Russ, my friend since 1964, sent the following report on the health condition of Janice. Here is what Wesley wrote in his email to me:
Dear Dr. Morgan,
Thanks for keeping the need for prayer for Janice's healing before your readers in Hugh's News. I know we have a short attention span. Everyone is so busy--I know.
The Pet Scan was taxing today at Kaiser Permanente and Janice came home tuckered out. A good nap helps.
Now on to Oxon Hill (where Wesley will preach today) and then Monday to the surgeon. We pray for a good result and leave all things in the Hand of the One we have trusted these many years.
Trust you are well and Miss Melvine is feeling much better.

[Editor's Comment: On Saturday, Commanders Chris McKenzie and Sam Dutton along with a number of our Royal Rangers from our church in Athens (Christian Life Worship Center) came over in the afternoon to our home in Winder. Georgia, to clean out my cluttered barn. I knew I could never do it. Over the last seventeen years since I had it constructed I have not been a neat and tidy manager of what God has given me. I recognized I needed help. These men and boys came to my rescue at my request and they did a superb job of cleaning out all the clutter that needed to be thrown away and they straighten and organized my barn with all my tools and equipment in an orderly fashion.
In the midst of it all, I found a box of photos I had completely forgotten we had. In that box was this photo above of Wesley and Janice Russ taken in the early years of their marriage. What a handsome couple. They have given their lives to Jesus and the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They have served Pentecostal Holiness Churches in Alabama, Georgia, and Maryland, as well as the Superintendent of the Mid-Atlantic Conference. They have majored in leading their congregations in giving to world missions because they themselves have led the way. Wesley has traveled extensively to missions fields in many countries. He has lived what he preached and Janice has supported him all the way. When Wesley married Janice Robinson he married up. She is one of the brightest and most intelligent women I have ever met. She is a gifted musician. She can play piano and organ, and has a lovely singing voice. I call her Mrs. Spell Check. She can spell any word and she types without error. She has never held back giving her all for the cause of Christ and His church. Their love for our colleges and Falcon Children's Home is noteworthy.
Janice has been saved by the grace of God through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. She has been redeemed and justified by a Holy and Righteous God because of the supreme sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary. The Bible teaches us that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus. I am trusting God to perform a miracle of healing for Janice. Miracles are provided for people as God sees best. Only He has the final Word. It is my prayer that God will show favor and grant Janice Robinson Russ a miracle of healing. Only God is Sovereign. We trust Him completely to do what is His Will for Janice.
Will you join Melvine, Greg, and me in believing God to completely heal and restore Janice to glowing health. We believe that God specializes in things thought impossible, and He can and will do for Janice Russ what no other power can do. Join with us and several thousand Christians who are praying right now all across the United States and around the world for God to heal Janice.
