Melvine had a good day on Tuesday. Although she gets out of breath just from walking a few feet, she is learning to pace herself.
She greatly missed leading the ladies of our church in the Tuesday morning Bible study and prayer meeting. She has commissioned Bonnie Bender to take over while she is out. Melvine has delegated each member to take terms in giving the daily devotional prior to the prayer time.
Melvine received a number of telephone calls on Tuesday. She is pleased to get cards from her friends.
Pam Kesling, our pastor's wife, prepared our supper at home and brought it to us. They live only 9 minutes from our home. Pam prepared a creamed baked chicken which we placed over white rice. It was heavenly, along with green beans that were awesome. For the dessert she brought a pumpkin cake with icing. It was heavenly. Pam is a good cooker.
We received a call from Wayne and June Butler. Wayne served as my associate pastsor when I was the senior pastor of Tarkenton Memorial Church. Their daughter, Jodi Butler Eason and her 5-year-old girl, Maddie Morgan Eason, named for our Stephanie, also called. Jodi as well as Wayne and June Butler offered to help us.
Melvine has an appointment to see the oncologist on Friday to get the biopsy results of the the tumor discovered in the lining of her stomach. We will keep you informed.
Continue to pay for Melvine, Greg, and me. We need your prayers.
