Shocked that Vernon Synan has slipped away so soon. I held this Brother in highest esteem. He is a true Southern Gentleman of the first order. His smile would light up any room he entered. He always had time to speak to me and seemed genuinely interested in what was happening in my life. He was a good listener. Most of all Mr. Synan was a sincere Christian who exuded Christ's love. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I will never forget Mr. Synan and his wife Phyllis came over to Tucker and helped us put together our first Christmas cantata when I was pastor of the Church of the Comforter. This gift of talent and time was far above what anyone could expect, but then that was the kind of man Mr. Synan is. I say is because he is more alive today than he ever was on this earth.
I bless his memory and pray for his family during this time of challenge knowing that there faith in the Christ their loved one served will see them through.
Thanks for keeping us informed about our IPHC family.
