The passing of one of God's faithful servants...
Thursday evening, July 21, 2016, Rev. Donald Phillips, age 82, passed from this life to a far more exceeding abundant eternal home prepared for him in heaven.
Rev. Phillips had served faithfully as a minister of LifePoint Ministries (Georgia Conference) IPHC for 55 years, joining the conference as a credentialed minister in 1961. During his time of service he served several LifePoint Ministries Churches as Senior/Lead Pastor including:
Napier Ave P.H. (New Beginning Worship Center),Macon, GA
Albany P.H., Albany, GA
Griffin P.H., Griffin, GA
Tallapoosa P.H. (New Life Center), Tallapoosa, GA
Empire P. H., Cochran, GA
Elberton P. H., Elberton, GA
Todd Memorial (Living Way Fellowship) Monroe, GA
Rev. Phillips also served faithfully on the Georgia Conference Christian Education Board and several committees for LifePoint Ministries (Georgia Conference). For several years Rev. Phillips donated his time every summer working in the conference summer youth camps. He also served as an evangelist preaching revivals in many of the churches in the conference.
Visitation will be Saturday night, July 23, at Meadows Funeral Home in Monroe, GA. from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24 in the chapel at Meadows Funeral Home.
