James 5:13-18
13 Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

Janice and Wesley Russ Let us continue to pray earnestly for Janice Robinson Russ as she faces challenges in her journey of faith to obtain complete healing.
No doubt you will want to send her a get-well card to let her know you are thinking of her and turning your thoughts into prayers for God to use the medical delivery system to shrink and destroy the cancer on her tongue. Pray that God will not allow her to be nauseated or lose her hair. Pray for Wesley, her husband of more than 50 years that God will grant him wisdom, strength, and determination to see this episode in their lives a time or renewed love, fellowship with God and each other.

I have been in touch with Phyllis Sparks Synan, the wife of Vernon Synan, who is still in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. I talk with her often by phone to get updates on Vernon's status. Each day there are signs of progress. The doctors are recognizing the power of prayer. God has given us a network of Christians around the world who are praying for the healing of Vernon Synan. Vernon is a twin brother of Dr. Vinson Synan.
