Irvina's sister, Evelyn Harlow, resides in Piney Flats, Tennessee. She grew up in a preacher's home. Irvina and Evelyn were two of the daughters of the Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Smith (Virginia). Their father was ordained by the Virginia Conference, now called the Appalachian Conference.
Evelyn Harlow is involved with Hope for Sudan which is headed up by Lauren Springer Pickens of Germantown, Tennessee.
Melvine, Greg, and I led the way as we drove in two Honda CRV's to my favorite restaurant in Athens, GA, called Rafferty's.
We showed them how to get to our church so they could set up her laptop computer with Irvina's teaching materials to be projected on the screen in the area of our educational wing known as Stephanie's Place in honor of the Life and Legacy of Stephanie Ellen Morgan, a gifted, dedicated and highly educated and trained teacher.
