Janice and Wesley Russ I received a telephone call from Wesley Russ on Tuesday afternoon. He was calling from the hospital room that Janice has been assigned at Holy Cross Hospital in Maryland.
The doctors have run all sorts of tests, like MRI, PET Scans to ascertain what is going on in the body of Janice. They had inserted a feeding tube in her nose, but that is most uncomfortable. Other options were being discussed.
Janice was sitting up and reading the newspaper. If you have ever been around Janice you know that she is an avid reader, and she knows what is going on in the world. She would make a good research reader for a pastor who wants to expand his knowledge on any subject or Scriptural passage. She is an excellent researcher and writer.
Wesley and Janice Russ have asked me to thank all of you for your prayers, calls, emails and cards. They had gotten a lovely get-well card from our first cousin in Richmond.VA, Mary Anne Shropshire Weeks. Mary Anne's father, Wesley Shropshire and Melvine's mother, Frances Shropshire Stewart were brother and sister. Mary Anne is one of the most reliable prayer warriors and intercessors I know. The Lord has laid Janice Robinson Russ on her heart and she is diligently praying for a miracle of healing for Janice. God has supernaturally healed Mary Anne and she knows something of what Janice is experiencing.
Here is a Scripture verse that is running through my mind and is in my spirit:
Psalm 103:1-3, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases.”
May God use His word and the prayers of His people all around the world to bring a miracle of healing for Janice Robinson Russ.
