In April, we shift our focus from the Biblical basis of the Kingdom of God to the signs and manifestations of the Kingdom. In Matthew 13, Christ shares several parables which describe the Kingdom of God. As you study and unfold the truths of the Christ’s Kingdom, we trust these resources will be a blessing to you, your family and church.
Christ's Kingdom Focus The Christ’s Kingdom focus consists of four emphases:
1) “The Kingdom of God is at hand.” -- Mark 1:15
Focus: The Biblical emphasis of the Kingdom of God
2) “The Kingdom of God is like…” -- Matthew 13:24
Focus: The signs and manifestations of the Kingdom of God
3) “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” -- Matthew 6:33
Focus: Extending the Kingdom of God
4) “We are receiving a Kingdom which cannot be shaken...” -- Hebrews 12:28
Focus: Christ establishes the fullness of His kingdom when He returns
Christ and Culture, H. Richard Niebuhr
“In a message that rings as true today as it did fifty years ago, H. Richard Niebuhr speaks of Christ and culture as the two points of reference for faith and ethics and challenges a new generation of Christians to be true to Christ in a materialistic age.”
