Here's a Scripture verse we need to memorize, meditate upon and utilize in our faith walk with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Jesus had just healed a man who had been lame for thirty-eight years. Jesus asked this man if he wanted to be healed. Jesus cuts across all the excuses and reasons why he had not been healed earlier. To be healed, a person has to have a "want to attitude."
When Jesus knew the man was ready to be healed He said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked (John 5:8-9, NKJV).
Because it was the Sabbath Day when Jesus healed this lame man, the Jews "persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working" (John 5:16-17, NKJV). "My Father is working straight through, even on the Sabbath. So am I." (from THE MESSAGE: The Bible in Contemporary Language © 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson. All rights reserved.) "My Father has worked [even] until now, [He has never ceased working; He is still working] and I, too, must be at [divine] work" (John 5:17, AMP).
Here in this passage of Scripture in John chapter 5, Jesus is telling us that our God is the God Who never quits.
What do you need in your life? What has hindered or paralyzed you from achieving your goal? Allow God to do for you what you could never do for yourself. God is working on your behalf today. What you have desired and prayed for the Will of God to be done in your life, go ahead and trust God to do it for you. He can and will make a way for you need. Give Him praise, honor, and glory. Lift up your hands and your heart in adoration before it happens. Anticipate the answer to your earnest prayer.
