Tallahassee, FL – The men's and women's bowling team traveled to Tallahassee this weekend to compete in the Seminole Classic hosted by Florida State University.
The Men's team finished in 5th place with a total pinfall of 8860. Leading the Lions was Kyle Ortiz (Jr) in 11thplace with an average of 210.17.
On the women's side, the Lions went into the bracket roll-off ranked 2nd, before upsetting the #1 ranked Webber International University. Their victory in the bracket roll-off gave the ladies 1st place at the Seminole Classic. While none of the Lady Lions finished in the top three, they filled most of the top 10 list, taking the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th spots on the leaderboard.
The Lions were led by Ashley Crowder (So) with an average of 212.67 followed by Christalynn Bonifacio (Sr) with an average of 211.83. With these finishes, Crowder and Bonifacio were both named to the all-tournament team.
The next tournament the Lions will compete at will be the Union Bulldog Classic in Richmond, KY on Saturday, January 30.
