Melvine has desired with her whole heart to be able to attend Sunday school, morning worship, and go out to dine at a nice restaurant after church for several weeks. Sunday, November 25, 2018, Melvine got her prayers answered.
Melvine got up early before either Greg or I did. She gently called for me to get up, eat breakfast, take our vital signs, and medications.
I was able to eat a bowl of cereal with blue berries with milk. It was so good. The blue berries were luscious and so big.
I took a shower and shaved, and Melvine got ready ahead of me. I am slower than anyone else in our home. I used to be the fastest. That time in life has passed me by. I am glad to be able to get up, and help my darling wife. Sometimes, Melvine calls on me to help her dress. Today, she did it all by herself.

Our Sunday school class, Celebrate Life Now, was led by Lavon Revells. Arlette took care of the technical responsibilities with the computer and video projector that puts it all on the screen on the wall of the classroom. We are using a video series with Dr. David Jeremiah entitled, "The God You May Not Know." We studied about God's protection of us today. It is a good thing to reflect on the many times that God has protected us from harm and danger. We has 18 people in attendance with several people out due to sickness. Arlette Revells will lead the class next week.
Morning worship was good. Our pastor, Terry Kesling is a singer and loves to lead the singing. He has a worship Team of himself, his wife, Pam, and Robin James. They are good singers and harmonize well. Arlette Revells plays the keyboard and she is a fantastic musician. Nick Moody plays guitar and is excellent. These people are committed to their ministry in worship.
Greg was home from Thomson, GA, where he teaches music in the middle school there. He sang one of Andraé Crouch's songs, "My Tribute" or "To God be the Glory." He sang with authority and anointing and his range was excellent and strong. He has excellent breath control from his many years of voice lessons, and his major at Oral Roberts University was in vocal performance, as well as singing in the 85 voice choir at Mt. Paran North, as well as the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and Chorus a Musical Arts Consortium. Greg sings tenor. However, he can just as easily sing baritone or bass.
Following morning worship Pastor Terry Kesling invited those who could to stay to decorate the church, hang the greens and lights, for Advent and Christmas. They ordered pizza for those could could stay to do the work.
We went to Red Lobster for our Sunday dinner. We invited a dear friend, Claudia Strickland, a widow in our church, to join us. We dearly love Claudia and her family. Her son, Bronson Strickland, has a Ph. D. in Forestry and is a professor and a researcher as well as an author at Mississippi State University. Her daughter, Sonya, is on staff at the University of Georgia as an editor. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College with a degree in English. She has helped me when I have asked for help in editing a book I am writing about Our Stephanie.
Melvine has an appointment with her cardiologist on Tuesday afternoon. I will take her to that appointment. She hopes to attend the Ladies Bible study and prayer meeting on Tuesday morning. She will not be able to go out with them for lunch which has become a regular routine for this group of ladies.
Please keep those get-well cards coming. Melvine loves to get them and she reads every one of them.

We thank you all for your love, concern, and prayers for Melvine. Sometime in December, they will do another
CAT Scan to determine the effects of the chemotherapy thus far. We are believing God for a good report. We know that according to Scripture Melvine has been healed.
Here is what the Apostle Peter wrote:
1 Peter 2:21-25
Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 "Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth";
23 Who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him Who judges righteously; 24 Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by Whose stripes you were healed.
NKJV
"By Whose stripes you were healed."
