To be able to laugh again is a miracle in itself.
The writer of the Proverbs, the sage of the ages wrote:
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine" (Proverbs 17:22, KJV).
Melvine was more like the Melvine I have know for many years. She is a delight to our home and brings joy, peace, and happiness to all of us. She is making plans for the future and her intentions to go to church on Sunday, to go out for Sunday dinner, and plans for Tuesday morning when she desires to attend the ladies Bible study and prayer group at our church.
In the meantime, I was able to get one of the PA's to write a prescription for Melvine to get a Rollator with a seat made for ladies. I was able to pick it up at our Farmer's Prescription Shop on Friday afternoon after we went to the Cancer Center for the last chemo for Melvine. The good news is that Medicare and Tri-Care for Life paid for it. She wants to take it to church to use to help her walk. She has been walking in our home using it on Saturday.
Melvine's La Z Boy recliner is to arrive Monday. We can hardly wait for Melvine to try it out. We know she will be thrilled with it. She will be able to raise her legs and feet up higher and allow the blood to flow more freely upward and relieve pressure and swelling in her feet and legs. She will enjoy sleeping in it without falling out on the floor [she has never fallen in the floor, but it could happen].
Melvine is overjoyed to have Greg home for the weekend and possibly this week. He has been summoned to do Jury Duty, and we don't know how long that will be. He has gotten off from teaching at his school in Thomson, GA.
Greg got our breakfast this morning from Dairy Queen and McDonald's, and our supper from Cracker Barrel. We ate good today. Greg picked up our cleaning for us and purchased our groceries. He helps to clean in our house, and serves us during the day. He has learned to anticipate our needs. He purchased a large daily calendar just with the day of the week, SATURDAY, February 23. That will help Melvine to be orientated to the day of the week. When one is sick, he or she tends to lose track of the day of the week. They also need a clock to know the time of the day. We are doing all we know to do to help Melvine through this trial in her life.
In talking with Evangelist/Prophet/Teacher/Pastor Bob Shafer by phone today, and he gave me a fresh understanding of a Scripture I memorized many years ago, and often quote it. Here is the Scripture:
1 Corinthians 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
KJV
Bob Shafer said, "The temptation that Satan makes is to try to get you and me to doubt God's Word. We must believe God's Word above every other word and trust God to do what He says He will do."
Let me share with you once again the song Andrae Crouch wrote.
Vonnie Lopez made a promise to herself in prayer when she was a tone-deaf child: that one day, she would bring God the glory through song.
On an international stage this week, Lopez did just that.
The singer belted Andrae Crouch's "My Tribute (To God be The Glory)" for her performance on The World's Best.
The worship was so moving, it brought judges, including Faith Hill, to tears.

This is the voice we need in our world today. It expresses our gratitude to God for the many things He has done for us and continues to do in supplying all our needs. We just want to fall down on our knees and worship our Lord. That is difficult for us to do at our age, but we praise God in our hearts and with His Words on our lips while seated. PTL.
All of you who have prayed for Melvine are a vital part of this miracle from God for Melvine.
Melvine will have a CAT scan on Monday, March 4, and then meet with Dr. Jane Huang, Melvine's oncologist, on Wednesday, March 6, to get the report. We await a good or an excellent report for her.
Thanks for your prayers.
