Hello Rev. Morgan,

Thank you for promoting in Hugh's News Laban West’s CD album, SHARING CHRISTMAS.  I most likely would have missed a Christmas blessing had you not provided information about the album. I give a ‘thumbs up’ to the diverse styles of world-music in Laban’s song selections.

More than just piano, Laban plays a Roland keyboard synthesizer to provide fresh, creative background instrumentation for the ‘timeless tunes.’

Whether a 9th century Latin carol, or an 18th century Harpsichord phrasing, or a playful, whimsical “Woogie Boogie Jingle Bells,” the music is all Laban. Well, almost all….  The music is his arrangements and his playing.   But there is something in his music that is not Laban: An anointing of God in Laban’s music that helps me move beyond secular Christmas to God Himself.  Thanks again to Hugh's News for this blessing.
