Pastor Rick Haug and Dr. Ron White, President of Emmanuel College We just concluded our outreach called TEAM '17 in Maiden, NC. We secured the local high school football stadium to accommodate our efforts. Gary Burd of M25 Ministries was our speaker. His wife, Carolyn, accompanied him and was a real asset. Living Word Church responded beautifully with 100+ volunteers helping out. Inflatable games, slides and various activities provided action for children and young adolescents. Free hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and bottled water fed the hungry.
There was an overwhelming response to "Do this again!" on the part of the congregation. The single greatest accomplishment of the crusade was to get the church "outside the walls". LWC was joined by other congregations of different denominations to share in this community event. Burd's timely messages were challenging and inspirational. There is a new passion for souls and to engage in community outreach now at Living Word. We are on our way to fulfill our vision of "Touching and Transforming our World". It is done one person at a time.

We eagerly look forward to our next outreach to the Crow Nation in Montana this summer (in partnership with M25 ministries).Thanks again to our "friend for all seasons"!!!
