I talked with Beverly Rose, wife of Ben Rose, by phone on Friday morning. I learned that Ben had his surgery on Thursday, July 21. I had thought Ben's back surgery was to be tomorrow. I was wrong. Beverly stated that Ben was able to walk out of the surgery center in Greensboro using his walker. He is at home resting comfortably. Beverly said the surgery has made a significant difference already. Ben is expected to be able to walk without a walker and a cane in the near future.
Ben and Beverly wish to thank all of you who have been praying for him.
I have known Ben and Beverly for 32 years. Ben became the pastor of Melvine's home church, the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church, in 1984. He served there for 20 years. He is an excellent pastor and a gifted expository preacher. I have always enjoyed hearing him preach and the fellowship with him when I have visited in Draper Village in Eden. We enjoy dinning at Fisherman's Galley, the best seafood restaurant in the known world.
For the last seven (7) years Ben Rose has served as pastor of Victory Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stoneville, NC.
We wish Ben complete healing and recovery.
