Lavon and Arlette Revells came to our home in early afternoon on Tuesday to help Melvine and me. Arlette stayed with Melvine while Lavon drove me in my car to the doctor's office where I had the injection in my left knee.
They took my blood pressure, oxygen level and heart rate. When Dr. Benjamin McCurdy made the injection he told me I would feel a sting. I was singing inside in my heart 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus. It did sting for a second or two and it was gone. I walked out without any pain. I was told I could ice it down, but it wasn't needed.
When I put together Melvine's medication for the evening, my left knee did not hurt at all. PTL!
How grateful I am for the healing that is taking place with the assistance of medical doctors and nurses. God still uses various delivery systems to bring about healing, and He still performs miracles of healing.
Thank you for your prayers. I am losing weight. I weighed this morning and weighed 314. I've got a long way to go, but I am endeavoring to bridge my appetite as the Scripture instructs us to do.
Melvine enjoyed talking with Arlette while Lavon and I were gone. Lavona and I enjoy talking with each other. He and Arlette are blessed of God with two wonderful children who have married well, and now they have 13 precious grandchildren.
Lavon and Arlette are the facilitators of our Sunday school class. They do a marvelous job. You are invited to join us. We meet at 10 a. m. in Stephanie's Place, our fellowship hall named for Stephanie.
Stephanie's birthday was on Monday, 18 November. She was born in Tacoma, Washington, when I was stationed at McChord AFB. Washington. Her birth, by C Section, was performed at Madigan Army General Hospital at Fort Lewis, the Army Post adjoining McChord AFB. We purchased an airline ticket for Melvine's Mother to fly from North Carolina to be with us for Stephanie's birth and to take care of her and Melvine when they came home from the hospital.
