It was nice to be able to spend quality time with dad today since I was out of school for the remaining snow. Mom and I got there and saw friends as we entered dad’s room. Jeanette Phillips and her twin grandchildren were there. Later another friend, Debbie Allen came to visit too.
It was nice to see not only dad but dear ones as well, especially since some of the roads in Athens, Georgia are still somewhat icy. In addition to that, I have heard well wishes from people all over Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Texas. I have also heard from several missionaries in Europe who are praying for my father too. I am very comforted that whether Christians are close to us or far away that there is no distance in prayer.
Dad went to his doctor for his first checkup today. They took him in a special van from his facility, The Oaks, and he had a comfortable ride. Later this evening dad had physical therapy. He rode on the stationary bicycle for fifteen minutes. That’s pretty impressive.
He still has a lot more healing to come, but he is definitely on his way. Praise the Lord!
God bless you,
Greg
