       Sir,
Good afternoon! I've just received a new set of orders. I'll be detaching from Naval Forces Europe/Africa-US Sixth Fleet as the Acting Deputy Fleet Chaplain, and on 01 OCT will be reporting to USCG REL SUP 106 as the Deputy District Chaplain for the US Coast Guard's 1st District, responsible for New England.
As I understand it, there are only 12-15 Navy Reservists that are USCG chaplains, so this is an incredibly rare opportunity that I've been afforded.
We are very proud of the ministry and service of Chaplain Adam Erwin. God is giving him outstanding opportunities as a Navy Reserve chaplain. In May he received his earned M. Div. (Master of Divinity) from Erskine Theological Seminary.
His father is a prominent dentist in Elberton, Georgia. He is Stuart Erwin. His mother, Karen, is a prayer warrior and intercessor. She is a great photographer, and took photos of our Chaplains Retreat in Greensboro, NC at General Conference.
