Men's Soccer Downs Piedmont International, 6-0

FRANKLIN SPRINGS Springs, GA -- The Emmanuel College men's soccer team defeated Piedmont International university, 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Emmanuel's Harrison Wright started off the afternoon with the first goal off of an assist from Jeremy Gwaltney. At the 27 minute mark, Luke Jones crossed a ball that Roland Sabo fired into the far post. Soon after, a foul on Luke Jones set up Shane Cronin with a penalty kick. Cronin converted the PK to put the Lions up 3-0. The final goal of the first half came from Luke Jones who blasted the ball 30 yards into the top corner of the net.
The Lions continued their dominant performance in the second half with a goal from Channing Park in the 53rd minute. Mikaele Blakeley had the assist. Harrison Wright would finish things off for the Lions, scoring his second goal of the game as Luke Jones picked up his second assist.
The Lions had 21 shots, including 11 on goal in their most dominant win since 2015.
Next up, the Lions will continue action on Wednesday, October 2nd when they travel to Belmont Abbey for another conference match.
