Like the changing weather, if you don't like the weather today, take a deep breath and wait 30 minutes. The weather just may change. And it usually does.
In compliance and obedience with Melvine's medical people by changing prescribed medication for Melvine things were a far cry different for Melvine on Tuesday. Melvine was 98.9% more like the Melvine I have known for 60 years, including the courting years.
I believe that Melvine will be getting better every day, now.
Melvine was aware of the fact that today was Tuesday. She really wanted to attend the Tuesday morning Ladies Bible study and prayer meeting, but she knew that she was far to weak to do that. Her heart was there with the other ladies of our church, but her body stayed home.
The physical therapist came today. Julie does a great job. She is an excellent teacher and knows her field in helping patients with exercise in the home. She gave Melvine some practical tips about sitting in her new La Z Boy Recliner. I am sure I will have to remind Melvine over and over again to make sure she gets it. We don't want her falling. Being careful can't be emphasized too much. It is not good to fall any time.
The Meals on Wheels were delivered today. I like them; Melvine doesn't. I will have to make a decision soon if we can continue when Melvine doesn't like the food, to stop. You can rest assured that I will favor Melvine's desires. Melvine asked Greg to get our supper tonight from Wendy's. It was the usual. Chili, baked potato, and a single hamburger with cheese. Greg was selected to jury duty. When we lived in Athens, he had jury duty some 6 times. So, this is the 7th time to serve.
I got a call from my cardiologist's office today and they made an appointment for me this Thursday to see the nurse practitioner. I am sure they will do another EKG to approve/disapprove me for Botox surgery on my bladder. It is an inside job, no incisions.
Both my pastor and my conference superintendent called me today. It was nice to know these leaders cared enough to call and have prayer with me. I deeply appreciate it. We are blessed to have good leadership in our local church and in our conference.
The weather has been nice the last several days. It is wonderful to see the sun shining again.
Melvine and I, along with Greg, our son, want to wish you a blessed Wednesday and week. We thank you for staying tuned to Hugh's News.
We hope you will attend our church in Athens, Georgia:
Christian Life Worship Center, 125 Kathwood Drive, Athens, GA 30607.
The Rev. Mr. Terry Kesling is our pastor. He and his wife, Pam, are doing a great job. We love them and want to keep them.
If you are not involved in a local church and are looking for a church like ours, we would highly recommend that you visit our church and see for yourself if our church is good for you and your family.
