For three months now I have told the story of Melvine's journey with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Now, on this Christmas Day of 2018, I felt it was time for Melvine to share her story in her own words with you. I asked her in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve to think about what she would like for our readers of Hugh's News to know from her own words to you our dear friends all across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and some 22 countries of the world.
Here is what Melvine dictated to me:
"When God gave me a Word to the chorus, "I know Who holds Tomorrow" that says, "Everything by Him is planned," I felt an assurance deep within my heart that God was healing me.
"All during the days of chemotherapy I just felt a renewal of God's promise to me.
"So, I was not surprised when I got a good report last Friday from my oncologist.
"I still believe my future is in God's hands, and that He is still healing me.
"I know that many of you are praying for me daily and that knowledge gives me tremendous joy and peace.
"May God bless you all. I wish for you and your families a Merry Christmas with God's richest blessings.
"With love and gratitude,"
Melvine
