It has been a long journey for Melvine who was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in September 2018. She went through the full protocol of chemotherapy, endured many x-rays, CAT Scans, PET scans, etc. The side effects were not pleasant. She has endured it all with her living faith in Jesus Christ. Every time she went for chemotherapy she was a witness for Christ Who dwells within her.
Two months or so ago, Melvine's urologist told Melvine she had taken all the chemo she was able to give her. The CAT Scan showed cancer that has spread in her abdomen, and her blood count was 475. She said, at best she would have about 5 months to live, and referred Meline to Hospice Home Care. Greg and I are taking good care of her along with a team of professionals from St. Mary's Hospice Care. In addition, the people of our church, Christian Life Worship Center where Terry Kesling is our pastor, are stepping forward to help us as needed. We couldn't ask for better friends than our Pentecostal Holiness friends who are members of our church.
We are confident that God is working inside Melvine removing all vestige of cancer that we cannot see. Our trust is the God Who never quits. That Scripture for my faith is recorded in John 5:17-18, 17 Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I, too, am working" (NIV).
Melvine and I have decided to trust God for Melvine's healing no matter what may happen. God has never disappointed us, for there is no disappointment in Jesus.
We thank you all for standing with us in believing and prevailing prayer. What a fellowship of the redeemed of the Lord to remember us daily in prayer.
