Melvine says she didn't sleep a wink on Thursday night following the extensive surgery on her nose. We were there at the office of our dermatologist 6.5 hours. A surgeon and his team drove in from Marietta, GA to do the surgery. He called our home on Friday afternoon to check on Melvine.
Friday morning the skin below Melvine's eyes was swollen and puffy, but no black eyes. Although I had given her pain medication and a benadryl to help her to sleep she was not able to sleep during the long and restless night.
We were blessed to get Bonnie Patch Bender to get Melvine's chemotherapy cancelled on Friday and moved a week ahead to Friday, January 4, 2019.
We are glad to have Greg home for the holidays. He does a lot of work which I call chores in helping me keep the kitchen clean, the dishes and silverware washed in the dish washer. He takes out the garbage, and checks on our daily mail. He cleans in our family room and many other things.
We are grateful for our church family who calls to offer their help. We are thankful for all of you, my readers, who are praying for Melvine daily. We are blessed indeed to have so many Christian friends.
Most of all, we have Jesus who walks and talks with us daily through His Word, the Bible, and prayer.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
I notice that Clemson is playing Notre Dame Saturday afternoon. Then, Saturday evening, Alabama will be playing Oklahoma. The winners will play in January for the National Collegiate Football Championship. May the best team win. Melvine, Greg, and I enjoy watching college football.
Continue to pray for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
