The waiting will soon be over . . . we will know the results of the latest CAT Scan Melvine had a week ago. We hope to know more about the status of the cancer in Melvine's abdomen. We always hope for the best report.
Melvine has taken all the chemo they can give her. The next step is to see a surgeon who specializes in oncology and gynecology. Melvine has been referred to a surgeon at Emory University Medical Center. As of this writing, we have not heard from this surgeon. I don't know what that means.
In the latest Mayo Clinic Health Newsletter publication, it is devoted to Ovarian Cancer and has a section on surgery.
Bonnie Patch Bender will not go with us today to see Dr. Huang. Bonnie and her husband and family are spending a week at Panama City, FL. We pray that this will be a good week for Bonnie and her family.
On Memorial Day, I forgot to mention that Pastor Larry Jones called to check on Melvine and to talk with me. I have known The Little Bishop of the Sovereign South Carolina Conference where Greg Amos is the conference superintendent. Both of these men contact me from time to time. They are great leaders with a pastor's heart. Larry is an excellent communicator. He has been in charge of the Memoirs Committee for many years. He is a gifted writer and does the research on each departed minister or ministers who are members of the conference. I love to hear him speak. He said they had 18 ministers to pass on to heaven for this year's conference held at Lake City, SC, their conference headquarters and camp grounds.
Please continue to pray for Melvine's hands and fingers. They hurt her continually. Everything we have tried has not worked. We need a miracle of healing for Melvine's hands. I believe that every prayer is heard in heaven, and our heavenly Father delights in our coming to Him in prayer believing that He exits and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God knows what we need before we ask Him. However, God is pleased when we call upon Him in faith.
On Thursday, Melvine will see her kidney doctor. The kidneys are important in the filtering process of the body fluids.
We talked with Greg by phone. He is cleaning up his room, taking care of the keyboards he has for his students.
Greg is trusting God for a job outside the classroom. He doesn't enjoy teaching in the current climate in publish schools.
Music classes should be fun for everyone. I know I loved music, when I was learning to play trombone and in the grammar school band. These youth don't apparently realize what they had in Greg Morgan as their music teacher.
I believe God will open a door of opportunity for Greg that he will enjoy and where he can make a difference.
Well, it is my bedtime.
Melvine has been in bed for about 2 hours.
Please continue to pray for us. I need prayer for my health needs.
I will see my heart doctor on Thursday;
Your get well-cards are greatly appreciated. Melvine lights up when she gets cards. They put a sparkle in her eyes.
