We must get a photo of Melvine with her new hair. She lost it all, but God has given it back to her with a full and thick head of glowing white hair. She is as cute as a button. I call her the Sweetest Peach in Georgia.
Melvine is a fun person. She laughs often, and engages in conversation that is enriching and productive.
Greg took his mother to get her hair shampooed and cut on Friday. Wendy Gaddis is the name of her hair dresser. Melvine has been blessed to have Wendy to do her hair for about 30 years. It's a long way to go to her home in Arnoldsville, GA. In fact, it takes about 45 minutes to drive there. When you like a person who knows how to cut and style your hair you will not complain about the distance.
Greg drove his mother to the cemetery where our Stephanie is buried after getting her hair cut and styled. Stephanie died on August 3, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, now renamed Piedmont Hospital. Someone has placed beautiful flowers in the flower pots or vases on each side of our family tomb stone with all of our names engraved on it with our birth date. The date of our death will be engraved when we die. Melvine and I have selected our caskets and paid for our funeral. Greg is yet to do that.
We are praying and hoping we can be in church this Sunday. We hate to have to stay home and not be in our church, Christian Life Worship Center, in Athens, GA.
Melvine and I, along with Greg, are thinking of having a walk-in bathtub and shower put in our master bathroom and where our current shower is to have a second commode with handicap rails installed. I need to talk with Wayne Butler who is in the building supply business. I am sure he knows of the best companies who do this kind of bathroom additions.
I am grateful for one of our subscribers/readers to Hugh's News who has sent me a web link to a tremendous article about the causes of pain in the stomach. I read it today with great interest. With God's help and doing things correctly, I believe we can conquer this pain problem has.
I had an appointment with my chiropractor who stretches my neck, massages my neck and shoulder, and uses a hand held machine that stimulates the vertebrae like a jack hammer. Oh, it feels so good. Then I had an ultra-sonic massage that is out of this world. Then, they ice my neck and shoulders. That is very special too.
Well, I hope you have a good day today, Saturday, 20 July.
