Margaret Louise Logan Kirkhart was a native of Athens and a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. She was born in Jackson County only two miles from where she passed away peacefully in her home after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Thomas Kirkhart; parents, William "Paul" and Pearl Elizabeth "Susie" Williams Logan and brother, Charles Henry Logan.
She is survived by children, Susan Christy Bellflower (Jeff), Charles W. Kirkhart (Patricia), Mary Ann K. Mullins and Thomas A. Kirkhart (Vickie). She left a legacy of 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 6 from 10-11 a.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home with services following at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel conducted by her cousin, the Rev. Mr. Dayton Logan. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of choice.
