The two jokes for today were given to Melvine to give to me by Claudia Strickland, a faithful prayer-warrior and intercessor at Christian Life Worship Center in Athens, GA, and a very special friend of our family.
1. Teacher: "How old is your father?"
Kid: "He is six years old!"
Teacher: "What? How is this possible?
Kid: "He became a father only when I was born!"
2. Teacher: "Donald, What is the chemical formula for water?"
Donald: "HIJKLMNO."
Teacher: "What are you talking about?"
Donald: "Well, Yesterday you said it was from H to O."
[Editor's comment: Claudia was the bookkeeper for Athens Christian School for about 30 years before her retirement a year or so ago. She is the widow of Heyward Strickland. She is the mother of two wonderful children. Her son, Bronson, has an earned Ph. D. degree in Forestry and is a professor at Mississippi State University. He and his wife have two bright and beautiful girls. Then, there is Sonja who is a proof reader for a prominent publishing company in Athens. I have gotten Sonja to proof read and edit the first chapter I have written for a book I hope to have published about our Stephanie. She us is one sharp editor.]
