\\ It has been my joy and honor to keep you informed on the progress of Janice Robinson Russ. Her spiritual heritage as a member of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church is noteworthy. Her grandfather, A. E. Robinson, a layman, was one of the founding leaders in the establishment of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her father, Robert Robinson, served at the administrator of Advocate Press, and was a leader in the National Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Janice invited Jesus into her heart as a child, and she had devoted her life to Jesus Christ and His Church forever. She has been faithful and gave back to the church the talents and gifts God has given her. She and Wesley have been married for over 50 years. They have served in pastorates in Alabama. Georgia, and Maryland. Janice has served as the bookkeeper for the Mid-Atlantic for many years. She and Wesley have been the work horses of the Mid-Atlantic Conference. Wesley served as the superintendent of the Mid-Atlantic Conference for a number of years, and prior to that he was the assistant conference superintendent under the leadership of Wesley Potter. Their involvement in World Missions and church planting overseas has been outstanding. Wesley served as the World Missions Director for the conference for many years. He led the conference in motivating the churches to give more per capita than any conference in the IPHC.
It is my firm belief, based on my knowledge of Holy Scripture, that when God's people pray and intercede for others it touches the heart of God and He is then able to bestow miracles as He so chooses. As Ruth Bell Graham has said, "Miracles are in God's department."
Jesus taught His disciples to pray and this is what He said, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in My Name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:19-20, NIV).
In Mark's Gospel in his last chapter he recorded this statement: "And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it)" (Mark 16:20, AMP).
It will be a great thing if you helped me along with scores of others who read Hugh's News to send cards and emails to let Janice and Wesley know that you have stood with them in prayer.
