The Women's Ministries of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) brought a very generous offering of more than $61,000 to Emmanuel College's 69th Annual Feast of Ingathering on October 7, 2016.
EC President Dr. Ron White is grateful to the Women’s Ministry of the IPHC for their continued support.
“The consistent giving by the Women’s Ministry of the IPHC has enabled the College to serve its students better over the 69 years since the inception of the Feast of Ingathering,” he said. “These funds have been used for various purposes over the years including scholarships, academic resources, and physical plan, to name a few. We are delighted to host this event and look forward to our collaboration for years to come.”
General WM Director Samantha Snipes was joined today for the presentation by many of the other WM Directors, including Brenda Gratsy, Assistant Director and Cornerstone Conference; Erica Campbell, Board member; Meta Russo, Upper SC Conference; Audra Smith, Sonshine Conference; Nancy Rogers, LifePoint Ministries Conference; Marsha Braswell, North Carolina Conference; Jeana Altman (absent) but sent funds, SC Conference, Kathy Mathena, Appalachian Conference, Katlyn Moncrief Bryan, Redemption Ministries Conference; Lynn DeVries, Alpha Conference.
The Feast of Ingathering represents years of commitment and hard work by the Women's Ministries to help provide scholarships for students to pursue a Christ-centered education at Emmanuel College.
Senior Dori Oxendine shared her story at the event, disclosing that although she had planned to attend a larger university, God led her to Emmanuel College.
“I would like to thank the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for their support and belief in education and spiritual development for college students,” she said. “It is evident through your generosity that you are investing in a future generation”
To Oxendine, choosing Emmanuel College as the place to further her education has been the best decision she’s made, because at Emmanuel she’s found a place to call home.
