Pastor Matt Adams, Pastor of Christian Life Worship Center I wouldn't be worth very much if I did not use my influence to invite you to our church in Athens, Georgia tomorrow. I want Pastor Matt Adams to know that we love him and his family, and stand as a congregation to love him and do all we can to let him know we are grateful that God has sent him to be our pastor.
When I was a pastor for more than 22 years, I often thought if I were not the pastor I would want to be the pastor's best friend. Now that I am retired and not pastoring, I still have a burning desire to be the pastor's best friend.
It is not my job to critique him or to criticize him in any way. No . . . my role is to encourage and lift up my pastor first of all by praying daily for him and his family, then, serving him and the church according to my spiritual giftings and talents.
The Morgan family is noted for our faithfulness and loyalty. If at all possible we will be in Sunday school and worship come rain or shine. It is rare that we ever miss church.
God has given us another opportunity to get it together. I am confident that Pastor Matt Adams will cast his vision for our church and that will mean he will want to lead us in reaching our community for Christ. We must be obedient to the Great Commission that Jesus gave.
