Melvine, Greg, and I were privileged to watch the entirety of the 2016 Harvest Train Program that was televised and sent out via live streaming.
We were pleased when Joey Leggett, the CEO of Falcon Children's Home recognized Hugh's News and called my name from the beginning of the program. He also recognized Sakeenah and Reagan Gurley from our church in Athens, Christian Life Worship Center, formerly known as Tarkenton Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and named in honor and loving memory of the Rev. Dr. Dallas M. Tarkenton, Sr
It is amazing what a God-Idea can create in raising money for a worthy cause. The total offering this year for Falcon Children's Home is $1,230.79 from the giving of a generous church congregation when Reagan, a nine-year-old beautiful girl connected with each person who gave. Every Sunday morning Reagan would walk around with a large baby bottle soliciting funds for our Children's Home in Falcon, NC. This was their third year in a row that they have attended this annual event.
They invited Scott and Kathy Bray from our church to go with them. What a wonderful way to enlist and educate others about Falcon Children's Home.
Melvine and I have attended Harvest Train for many years. When I was the director/endorser of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC, I attended every year and set up a table with a professional display and a table full of chaplain literature from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Veterans Affairs Chaplaincy. I was able to give away a lot of nice gifts provided by the various chaplain services. More importantly, I got to meet so many wonderful people in our denomination and made friends for our IPHC military chaplains,
