Monday was the day for Hugh to get help from St. Mary's Home Health personnel to get physical therapy.
Donna was the therapist. She has many years of experience and knows how to get the patient going and completing each exercise.
I was able to do every exercise and she said I did did it well. I am required to walk every hour to every hour and a half. Walking is the most important exercise I can do, she said.
Today, I took a shower and shaved. Greg prepared the shower mat to make sure it was secure and not move. I allowed soap and water to flow on the healing wound, but did not bathe it.
Greg helped me to put on fresh bandages and to cover them with a special white netteing that holds them in place.
I have noticed that my feet, ankles, and legs are not swelling. In addition, I have been able to control my water. Both of these physical achievements are miracles to me. I am grateful to God for every victory and I want to give Him all the glory and honor and praise.
On Tuesdays, Melvine's medical personnel come to our home.
Most of all, we are grateful to God for all the help he gives us. He helps us with or walking, showers, feeding us, washing nd drying our clothes, and folding them.
I continue to prepare all medications and administer insulin in Melvine and myself.
