Alabama beat a great Georgia Football Team on Saturday, October 3, 2015, 38 to 10. How our Georgia Bulldawgs will respond after this significant loss to Coach Nick Saban’s victorious team, the Crimson Tide of Alabama, will be determined in large measure by the attitude of optimism, resiliency, and determination of head football coach Marc Richt to lead his team to a win over Tennessee on Saturday, October 10, as well as they respond individually and as a team to the challenge against the Tennessee Volunteers. They will be playing in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, TN, to a capacity crowd of 102,037 people. Only Texas A & M has a larger stadium in the SEC Conference.
Tennessee rolled over Georgia 38 to 31. Georgia lost their star tailback and Heisman Trophy candidate, Nick Chubb, on the first play from scrimmage with a left knee injury. He is out for the season. Meanwhile, we must remember this is only a game. There will be other games and opportunities to win. Fran Tarkenton, the son of the late Rev. Dr. Dallas Tarkenton and the Rev. Mrs. Frances Tarkenton, has written a new book entitled, The Power of Failure. Fran says that we learn more from our failures than we do our successes.
Melvine, Greg and I were not be able to see the game on television because we were attending a wedding out of town. A beautiful young lady by the name of Jenna Janson, daughter of Allyson James Janson Terrell, a dear friend of our departed Stephanie Ellen Morgan as well as ours, was a beautiful bride to her finance Hudson Sanders. The wedding ceremony was lovely. I liked the Baptist pastor, the Rev. Mr. Brett. I loved the dignity of the service as well as the humor he injected with effectiveness. I talked with him at the reception at the groom's parents' lovely colonial home and complimented him.
I have experienced a lot of challenges along with adversity in recent days with the unacceptable distribution of Hugh’s News. It worked well for a number of years, and then in recent weeks, the web server that had performed very well for a number of years failed to operate with efficiency. I am grateful to my webmaster, Mel Tinney, who resides in Pepin, WS, for coming up with a new web design and a new newsletter design. It is in the process of being fully operational, although the software system has been tested for several years, and is just what we need to make such a change.
It is my responsibility as the CEO, Founder and Editor of Hugh’s New, Inc. to manage the risks that comes with the territory in Christian journalism in the 21st Century, and at the same time discovering new opportunities no one else sees. God has given to Hugh’s News and to me a faithful and professional man of faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord to come along side of me to support me in times of crisis and adversity as a participating partner and colleague in this evangelical Christian electronic news letter with a mission. I stand to salute Mel Tinney for saving the day for all of us. I am learning a new system, and the learning curve is steep for me, but I will conquer it as I have in the past.
Hugh’s News is the electronic flagship of communications serving IPHC Ministries and the body of Christ worldwide. That’s our mission statement that stands today as the commitment we have written and we are committed to do as God enables us by His grace and anointing.
However, we also have a Biblical or Scriptural Mission that is the foundation for Hugh’s News. It is a Scripture prophecy God spoke into the heart of my dear mother, Julia Payne Morgan, when she was pregnant with me in her womb. That Scripture verse is recorded in the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament:
Daniel 12:3
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
KJV
God has given me this assignment. Therefore, I am here for a divine reason. I am committed for the long haul. I need your prayers and with all humility ask you to pray for me, Mel Tinney, and the other people and agencies with whom we work.
