Alert: Sunday morning. I was notified by one of Greg's doctors this morning that Greg has taken a turn for the worse. They have moved him into intensive critical care. He did not know his name. They are calling in other special doctors. He will get the best of care. Only God can turn this situation around. Thank you for your prayers for Greg. I am in a state of shock and disbelief.
I want to thank all of you for your love and prayer support for my son, Greg. He is 56 years old. He continues to be hospitalized in a large medical center hospital here in northeast Georgia. It is one of the finest hospitals in our part of the country. He has the best medical doctors, specialists, nurses, and paramedical personnel anywhere in our country.
Greg has an infection in his blood system. It has affected various parts of his body. The doctors have not been able to make a diagnoses. It is complicated. They have called in the infectious disease specialists. His white blood cells are up and they have changed the antibiotics they had been giving him to correct this problem. On Monday, they are scheduling a thorough examination of his heart. Although the doctor did not tell me what the test is, I think it might be an Echo Cardiogram.
This is not an easy turn around situation for Greg, although we believe in miracles. God still performs miracles. He has never stopped performing them. Join me in praying God's will to be done for Greg.
I am reminded of the Word of the prophet Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
NIV
Our trust is in the Lord Jesus Christ Who now intercedes for us. The Apostle Paul says it best in the Book of Romans, chapter 8:
Romans 8:34
It is Christ Who died, and furthermore is also risen, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also makes intercession for us.
NKJV
