Obituary for Mrs. Carolyn Royston Smith
Mrs. Carolyn Royston Smith, 87, of Royston, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hartwell, GA.
Mrs. Smith was born in Royston, GA on November 16, 1934, daughter of the late Luther Royston and the late Margie Fowler Royston. She was an accountant having worked at Advocate Press (Life Springs) for 57 years. Carolyn was a member of the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was very involved in the Women’s Ministries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Smith; and son, Jim Smith.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Cindy Smith of Royston, GA and Ken and Audra Smith of Longwood, FL; grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel Cleveland, Kevin and Ashley Norris, Amber and Isaac Temple, Olivia and Adam Wiley, Emily and Joe Heimbuch, Carolyne and Brady Williams, Jordan Smith and Karis Smith; thirteen great grandchildren and special cousins, Sandra and Donald Ray.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held in the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, with Rev. Harrison Lampley, Bishop Douglas Beacham and Mr. Reggie Till officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Springs City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. During other times the family will be at the home.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church Women’s Ministries at 260 Spring Street Royston, GA 30662.
