Luke 9:28-35 The mountain top experience
28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, He took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29 And as He prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering.
30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of His decease which He should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32 But Peter and they that were with Him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw His glory, and the two men that stood with Him.
33 And it came to pass, as they departed from Him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son: hear Him.

Luke 9:37-43 Defeating demons in the valley
37 And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met Him.
38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech Thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
40 And I besought Thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.
41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
43 And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did

On Friday, February 22, 2019, Melvine experienced a Mountain Top experience with a Miracle God gave her. It was her last chemo since last September when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. Cancer is the last word you would want to hear—cancer.
The CAT Scan back in September revealed that Melvine’s Blood Marker was 982. Last Friday, Anna McFAther, PA to Dr. Jane Huang, told us that Melvine’s Blood Marker was 14. Mind you, the doctors consider a Blood Marker of 35 to be normal. Melvine’s is lower than that—14. How do you account for such a drastic drop? I confess my belief that it was Jesus, the Great Physician. He still makes House Calls whenever He is needed.
The Scriptures I have quoted above recorded in the Book of Luke, describe the mountain top experience that Jesus and three of His disciples experienced. As Jesus prayed the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering. What a brilliant and dazzling sight that was for Peter, John and James.
Two men from the past appeared with Jesus and talked about the coming death of Jesus. There were Moses and Elias. These disciples of our Lord were blessed to see the glory of Jesus, and the two men with Him.
Peter spoke up and wanted to build three tabernacles: one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elias. Of course, Peter was out of order. He didn’t know what he was talking about. To correct what Peter said, there was a voice that spoke out of the cloud that surrounded them:
"This is My beloved Son: hear Him."
When God speaks every other voice is required to be silent. God, the Father spoke of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and told them to hear Him. May God grant us the ability to hear God speak to us.
Friday was a glorious day for Melvine. To know that this was her last chemo and that her blood marker was 14 was shouting time. The Victory had been won and revealed. And so, we spontaneously shouted praise to God Who gave the Miracle.
The established custom when you complete chemo is to ring the bell on the front porch of the Cancer Center. Melvine is so short and the bell is higher than her extended reach, that Bonnie Bender did the honors and rang the bell for Melvine to celebrate her victory.
I have noticed in my lifetime of over 86 years, that after a decided Victory on the mountaintop that Satan will strike immediately to try to get you to lose that victory.
The devil is so vile and wicked that in the very presence of Jesus he convulsed this child, threw him to the ground and tore him. What belligerence and arrogance and rebellion
Melvine came down from her mountain of victory to be confronted with the demons of chemo and drugs—prescribed by her doctors on Monday.
Monday, February 25, was a day of facing the devil head on.
The combination of chemo and prescribed medications, some narcotics may be described both as good and yet demons to rob Melvine of her new-found victory.
Melvine was confused, felt hot, sleepy and was disorientated to the day of the week. She thought it was Sunday. I told her, Melvine we went to church yesterday and you gave your testimony.
Melvine asked about our Stephanie (who is dead) and Greg who is home today as he had jury duty in Barrow County. Melvine had never before asked about Stephanie.
Melvine looked like a Zombie, out of it. I convinced her to go back to bed. The cough has returned. I gave her a Tessalon Perle 100 MG for her cough. I called our pharmacy and ordered some cough syrup. I think that the combination of chemo and the two narcotics prescribed for pain is messing up her mind and her thinking process.
Melvine was sick all day and I could get her to eat only a limited amount of food. I gave her medicine for her cough as well as cough syrup.
Melvine is using the Rollator walker with a seat in the house that I got for her. Her La Z Boy recliner was delivered to our home at 2 p. m. today. She needs it. I want her comfortable, safe, secure, and protected.
I am grateful for our doctors/PA’s, nurses, techs, and other paramedical personnel who have greatly helped Melvine.
I believe God is healing Melvine. Jesus Christ is the Great Physician and He still makes house calls.
I called Anna McFather, PA, and consulted with her about Melvine. She agreed with me about the chemo and narcotics. She advised me how to change all of that. I will not go into detail here, but I fully understand it, and will carry out Anna’s medical orders to the best of my ability. I believe we are going to see a big change for the better.
Melvine and I want to thank you for your many prayers, cards, letters, and calls. You are a vital part of the process by which God is healing Melvine.
