Dr. Carl Hamilton Earlier this month, the Oral Roberts University leadership marked the passing of ORU’s former provost, Dr. Carl Hamilton, at a memorial service in Christ’s Chapel.
When we talk about leaving a legacy, he is definitely one of ORU’s heroes. He championed Spirit-empowered whole person education and held colleagues and students to the highest standards. We honor his memory by continuing to pursue excellence in all we do—and this is happening!
Some examples: Students have built a Hyperloop pod (a futuristic form of high-speed transportation) and others are working with Dr. William Ranahan to find a cure for breast cancer. The work of current and future generations will indeed exceed the work of our founder!
