The President's Perspective: Future Leadership
The Lord has once again shown favor to Holmes. Succession is always a major matter for any organization. The Lord has provided for the next leader of Holmes as mentioned in the recent announcement of Bishop D. Chris Thompson as president-elect of the college.
I will be completing my term of eight years as President of Holmes Bible College in the summer of 2017. Bishop Thompson will complete his term as Executive Director of Evangelism at the General Conference in July of 2017. I am very thankful to God for Brother Thompson accepting the Board of Trustees nomination of the presidency and I am very confident that he will be an outstanding leader. His appointment speaks of an even brighter future for the oldest Pentecostal Bible College.

Bishop Thompson has a deep love for Holmes. He and his wife, Betty are graduates of Holmes and both served on the staff of the college. He has served as vice chairman of the Holmes Board of Trustees. They have been faithful supporters of Holmes all through the years. Brother Thompson and I started talking about the possibility of his becoming President over a year ago. As we talked from time to time, it was clear to me that God was leading the conversation. I was elated when he made the commitment. I knew that God was directing the future of Holmes, and I could pass the baton to him with a deep sense of God's provision for the college. Join me in giving glory to God for His wonderful provision of a leader for the future of Holmes in Bishop D. Chris Thompson. Jehovah-Jireh!

Feast of Ingathering
The Feast of Ingathering is always a very special event at Holmes Bible College and one of the highlights of the year. This year was no exception as the ladies of Women's Ministries and friends and alumni of the college convened on the campus. The ladies of the college and Holmes Memorial Church provided a very nice reception in the library of the Paul F. Beacham Learning Center at 5 p.m. for all attendees. After the reception, everyone gathered in Holmes Memorial Church to enjoy a powerful drama entitled N.J. Holmes: A Man of Faith and Power, written by Dr. Danny Rollins, about Rev. and Mrs. Holmes and the first years of the college. Dr. Rollins not only wrote the drama but also directed it and played the part of Rev. Holmes. His wife, Tanya, played the part of Mrs. Lucy Holmes.
