FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA--The Lions spoiled the party at Georgia Southwestern University on Monday as they created tough plays and ran an intense offense. The Lions first set the scene with Elijah Robison, rebounding and creating some turn-overs. From there, the Lions had back to back baskets, as they utilized post plays from Zach Lille and Willy Akasson.
Score board leaders like Elijah Robison lead the team with 19 points, amongst Elijah were three others. Austin Green with 17, Zach Lille with 13, and Kurtis Robinson adding 11 points. The Hurricanes failed to gain an upper hand as the Lions made 83% of their free throws and shot 50% from the field goal line. The Lions closed out strong with a 52-28 lead.
In the second half, the Lions came out with back to back baskets as they continued to increase their lead. The Hurricanes struggled in the rebounding category as the Lions continued to gain second-chance points as they built a double-digit advantage. At the midway point of the half, the Lions mounted a long run as Austin Green hit several three-point shots. The Lions created a serious blow out offensively as they utilized Wily Akasson, Zach Vess, and Austin Farrow.
