It was a welcome sight last week to see the men from Progressive Construction on site. We have had all the grading and infrastructure completed last June and hoped to have the building well underway. We ran into some difficulties with the specifications with the kitchen and with permits. It was very frustrating, but all of that is behind us and the construction has started. Praise the Lord. The steel for the building has been ordered and is supposed to be delivered in a week or two. Hopefully we can see some of the construction going up when we have a Founder's Week and Homecoming.
We have signed the contract for the closing in of the building according to the funds that we have on hand. This includes all of the exterior of the building: the concrete slab, the steel, the windows, the doors, and the brick. It would be great to have this building completed for the opening of the Fall Term. We will need to trust God for funds to complete the interior of the Student Center. The Lord is indeed our Jehovah-Jireh and has provided so may miracles in the development of our beautiful campus.
We will keep you posted with news and pictures via this newsletter.
[Editor's Comment: Let us lift up the arms and hands of Dr. James D. Leggett in our prayers for God to provide the money to complete the interior of this new student center prior to the completion of the exterior of the facility.
God in His providence and wisdom has chosen and ordained Bishop James D. Leggett to serve this the oldest Pentecostal Bible College in the world for such s time as this. His assignment among many others has been to fulfill God's vision for Holmes Bible College. That has meant literally building a brand new campus in a new location, but not far from Paris Mountain where it all began. These buildings have been needed to provide for the growing student body that will be trained to preach and teach the Full Gospel, and to make disciples everywhere the graduates of this great Bible college will go into all the world. From her inception God has revealed Himself strong in providing all that the college has needed both in the good times and the bad times.
And God provides for the financial needs through people like you and me. As for me personally, I am indebted to Holmes Bible College for the education I received, especially a knowledge of and a love for the Bible, and a great desire to see people come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord. I believe God is going to help us win our neighborhoods to Christ, and take back what Satan has stolen.
To Dr. James D. Leggett we pledge you our support by daily prayers and financial gifts for the interior of this student center. May God grant you, Bishop James and Faye Leggett, wisdom, strength and glowing health (Daniel 2:23, The Living Bible).
