Melvine and I are so blessed to have so many friends who send us the most inspiring get-well cards, and one's that speak of God and His purpose and plan for our lives on this earth.
Scott and Gayle Weeks Campbell sent a card that we received in the mail this week.
The front cover reads like this:
God is still writing your story. It's not finished yet. He alone hold the pen that gets to write "The End" -- a quote from Holley Gerth.
It goes on to say:
You are living a story today.
It is a story of grace.
A story of hope.
A story of, most of all, Love
And there is still so much more to come.
Praying, Trusting, Believing with You
Gayle, the daughter of Layton and Sarah Weeks, wrote:
Dear Melvine,
We rejoice to hear you are growing stronger every day! There
shall be a performance of God's Word, His promise to restore you
to health for your good and His glory.
Love you,
Gayle Campbell
[Editor's comment: Gayle is married to Scott Campbell, the son of the late Rev. Dr. Carl Campbell,
one of the premiere pastors in the IPHC. Our own presiding Bishop, Doug Beacham, had the rare opportunity
to serve under his leadership and mentorship when he was in seminary in Richmond. Carl was the pastor of Ray of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Scott and Gayle Campbell now reside in Tyler, Texas, where Scott is the administrator of a large medical center and hospital there. We enjoy being friends to them and their extended family.]
